Indyx is here to supercharge your wardrobe by helping you get styled while saving you time and money. Their in-home wardrobe cataloging service allows them to suggest true personalized styles and makes reselling your wardrobe painless.
⚾ Elevator Pitch:
We live in an era of fast fashion and overconsumption. Today, consumers are buying 5x more items than their parent’s generation but only wear items an average of 7 times before disposing. This waste represents a $500 billion per year problem! Many people feel guilty about their wasteful purchases while still not feeling like they’re able to look their best.
Indyx is tackling overconsumption and wardrobe anxiety. Most online styling services make money by selling you new items. Indyx helps you get more from your existing wardrobe. Their cataloging service sends an archivist to your home to digitally catalog your wardrobe, taking photos of all your items and noting size, brand, condition, etc. A professional stylist then creates a personal lookbook and can create new looks for you on demand (e.g. for upcoming weddings, parties, etc). Indyx also has a marketplace where you can easily list and resell underused items.

🔍 Why we like it:
✨Bringing a niche luxury service to the masses
A session with a personal stylist will run you a few thousand dollars and that doesn’t include the shopping budget! Software can democratize exclusive services and make them more affordable. Uber brought the convenience of private drivers to the masses. Airbnb made travel and vacation rentals accessible to a broader population. Indyx wants to give everyone a personal stylist on their phone - one who knows your wardrobe and style.🤖 Personalization using big data and ML.
Fashion brands know very little about their customer’s purchases and preferences. They waste billions of dollars making and marketing unwanted items to the wrong consumers. Indyx is building the most complete wardrobe dataset in the industry and layering on a mix of ML, stylist input, and customer feedback to provide personalized style recommendations.🧢 Innovative convenience
Indyx isn’t the first to offer a digital wardrobe but they might be the most convenient way to digitize your wardrobe. No one wants to spend hours adding all their clothes to an app. Indyx can send a trained archivist to your home to do the painful part. Replacing the hard part = easy adoption.🏝 Environmental conservation matters
Consumers are more sensitive than ever to waste and their personal environmental footprint. We’re fans of services that help people optimize their lives in a sustainable fashion.
