Three-quarters of American adults drink coffee, and over a half drink at least a cup a day. We are a caffeinated population. But finding a good quality and economic cup of joe can be difficult.
So the question then becomes, how do you offer amazing coffee that’s affordable and accessible, without compromising on quality or barista experience? Blank Street is creating the solution.

☕ Minimalistic, straight to the point coffee
Coffee should be uncomplicated and straight to the point. A lot of larger coffee brands such as Starbucks and Pete’s have lost that over the years. The truth is, buying coffee from these major chains can be expensive, inconsistent, and an entire process. Blank Street is taking coffee back to its roots – the simple start-of-the-day drink it was meant to be.
🧑🤝🧑 Invest in people, not spaces
For most people who treat coffee as a grab-and-go activity, the space of the store is not the biggest concern. Blank Street understands this, which is why they are investing in underutilized spaces around NYC, sometimes even just coffee windows. Their shops on average, are 1/2 the size of a normal NYC coffee shop. This means investing in their baristas, coffee, and customers.
🌊 Who said the coffee market is saturated
Most people would think NYC already has enough coffee options – between the Starbucks, bodegas, and indie coffee shops. But Blank Street has shown that simply having options is not enough. In spite of the intense existing competition, Blank Street one-ups other shops because they tap into what New Yorkers want. And at the end of the day, that is a business model hard to beat.
